Topic Selection: I plan to dive into topic three for my writing assignment. I plan to explain the gap between the teacher and student at WCU, what causes this, how students can communicate with their professors, regardless of their gender\/race\/class. Of course, I will compare and relate these subjects to Freire\u2019s \u201cThe Banking Concept of Education\u201d and his views on the student\/teacher relationship. \t<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thesis: In Paul Freire\u2019s passage, \u201cThe Banking Concept of Education\u201d, he discusses the displacement of the relationship between the student and teacher, \u201cEducation must begin with the solution of the teacher-student contradiction\u201d; until this \u201ccontradiction\u201d is mended through communication, compassion, and effort from both the student and teacher, no learning will take place.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quotes:  Page 1, paragraph 7, line 2 \u201c Education must begin with the solution of the teacher-student contradiction, by reconciling the poles of the contradiction so that both are simultaneously teachers and students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
