I think this course definitely made me a better writer. With\nthe first draft I brought for review, I was told \u201cthis is a very high school\nessay.\u201d I knew exactly what Professor Cream meant. My writing was very\nstructured, but in a bad way. After meeting with professor Cream countless\ntimes for edits and brainstorming, I believe my writing improved greatly. I\nthink if I had not taken this course, my writing abilities would not be strong\nenough to write formal essays for other classes, let alone a higher writing\ncourse. This course helped me to understand how to better connect the ideas of\nothers to my own ideas. It also helped me to better understand what effective\nwriting is and what it takes to be a good writer. I also appreciated the in\nclass discussions, as they helped shape my ideas. I will definitely apply the\ncriticisms and critiques I was given by professor cream in the future courses I\ntake. I would definitely recommend this course to all incoming freshman, as it\ntaught me how to break away from the \u201chigh school essay\u201d mold. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
