I think travel can be both pleasure and a way of flaunting to others. I think people waste a lot of time taking pictures just to show people they were there. I also think people definitely travel for pleasure, as it is fun to escape your usual life. People will take and post many pictures from their trip often to brag that they went somewhere on a trip. I think it is better to go somewhere you are not familiar with so you can experience a new place that you don’t know. Going somewhere you aren’t familiar with can be a different experience because you have no perception or thoughts of what your experience could be. When traveling, it can be nice to be surprised by nature and things you may see instead of thinking you will see beautiful scenery that you’ve seen photos of and being disappointed. I think people can create standards in their heads of what they think will happen when they are on a vacation and it can create a disappointing experience. For example if someone has high expectations of what their trip will be they will get let down when their experience isn’t what they imagined.
